Investment apps like Stash Invest are still relatively new. Therefore, people often have questions about the trustworthiness of these apps because of the fact they don’t have much of a track record.
First, this is a personal review by someone that has used two out of three of the most popular investment apps on the market. I can tell you that Stash Invest is 100% safe in regards to having a legitimate investment account with a reputable broker.
However, there are always risks when it comes to investing. Furthermore, you have to take measures to protect your account just like you would any other investment account.
Your investment account with Stash is of course password protected, and you get to make your own investment decisions based on themes. There are no more risks than you would have with any other broker out there. And if you need another opinion, you can check out the review here https://aaacreditguide.com/stash-review/
While I have not personally used Stash, I have personally used and still use two of its competitors, Acorns and Robinhood. Acorns puts investors in a basket of ETFs just like Stash does.
You answer questions that help determine your risk tolerance. If you want to err on the side of caution in terms of risky investments, go with a more conservative investment profile. While Stash Invest is what experts call a robo advisor, you still get to pick from themes that keep you passionate and knowledgeable about your investments.
You can always look up individual ETFs and securities, too, in order to get more information.
I mentioned that I personally use Acorns. I have looked up the ETF funds of course to get more information so that I know what I am buying. When it comes to using Robinhood, I do my own research as always and pick individual securities to invest in. I am a dividend investor, and I have been investing for 16 years. I say that because I have used traditional brokers, too, and have quite a few years of experience.
I am always ahead of the trends in regards to investing, and I will tell you that apps like Stash Invest, Acorns and Robinhood are quickly becoming the new norm. Some people may be wondering whether to use them now, but that’s how it goes with follow the leader. They are aimed at the young adults, and that is what the younger generations are growing up into these days.
Investment apps are making everything easy, and in the case of Robinhood, commission free.
That doesn’t mean you don’t put thought into your investments. Kudos to you for asking whether Stash Invest is safe or not. Now you know, and you can just decide whether or not it is right for you.
It you do decide to use Stash Invest, you just have to decide what investments you are going to take on by picking an investment theme.
You will have to decide what investments you are passionate about, and then you can invest a little at a time if you like, smaller sums.
